The new Harlem Dream team (not to be confused with Harlem World) A$AP Mob has finally released the highly anticipated group mixtape. You can tell this project has the feel of a Dipset/Ruff Rydercompilation project showing a lot of NYC culture and giving each artist get a chance to showcase their individual skills.  While fighting off Southern rap references after Rocky released “Purple Swag,” the crew individually has been making their own mark in the game. Whether it’s been with their style, A$AP’s collaboration with Black Scale, wild interviews, or creatively kicking ass with features, it’s good to identify all of the personas in the A$AP Mob team.
Ferg has the most polished songs on this project.  He is  heavily featured throughout the mixtape but it’s together with the crew on “Full Metal Jacket” and “Underground Killa$” with Rocky and Raekwon where he sounds best. “Full Metal Jacket reminds” me of “Ryde or Die” with each member spitting ferocious bars over the 183rd production. You can tell they were very particular about the production as each beat not only fits each member perfectly but carries the “A$AP Mob” sound to the T. The high energy tracks “Coke and White Bitches: Chapter 2” and “Bath Salts” are the most charged up tracks on the project with Danny Brown, Fat Trel, Gunplay, and Flatbush ZOMBiES serving as perfect fitting features. Y.N.R.E by A$AP Twelvyy is a track I could hear on the radio without having to use payola in the infections AraabMUZIK beat.
If the rap world isn’t down with A$AP Mob yet, this will get them there.
