BIG SEAN "DETROIT" MIXTAPE REVIEW

Review by @JuffyEscobar
If you have been following Sean since before "Finally Famous" the album , then you would probably agree that the album itself was a huge let down . So when it was brought to my attention that Big would be dropping a mixtape my first initial reaction was " Uh Oh (negative head shaking) " , but to my surprise this mixtape is arguably one of the best mixtapes of the year . Amazed ? I know , I myself am shocked, kind of , but its sort of undeniable and anyone that disagrees should take a long look in the mirror and reflect on their taste in music.

[Detroit Cover here for all da bad bitches and the Dali Llama b]

Lets get it straight , Big Sean never lost his abilites to rap , its just his beat selection on the album and how he chose to approach some songs were not all that great , at all. I also understand that its normal to feel that way when you hear an artist develop after you're so used to his/her "sound" , but with " Detroit"  this man goes back to the Big Sean from the "Finally Famous" mixtape series with a twist of new production . Do you think it worked? Let me just leave it at this ... The mixtape went Diamond ( 1 Million downloads ) on Datpiff.com in less then 2 weeks .

So far it has earned every damn download it has gotten . Detorit contains memoir skits provided by Common , Snoop Lion (Dogg) , and Young Jeezy . But the heart of this tape is the producers that were involved , with production from some of the hottest in the game right now like Lex Luger , Million $ Mano , KeY Wane , Dj Drama , Hit-Boy , and Young Chop and features from artists like , French Montana , Kendrick Lamar , Royce Da 5'9 , J. Cole , King Chip , Jhene Aiko and many more , this mixtape is holding its weight , not just by the names that were involved but simply because its musically great . Sean really put on for his city with this one .

I give this tape 8.5 Crack rocks outta 10 !
( Don't be surprised if this tape makes the top 10 best mixtapes of the year)
The Crack Tracks : " How It Feel" (Prod. Million $ Mano) , "Mula" ft French Montana (Prod. Young Chop) , "Higher" (Prod. KeY Wane) , "100" ft Royce Da 5'9 , Kendrick Lamar (Prod. Dj Drama) .... Shit, basically everything else except the weak shit.

Weak Joints : The bonus songs ( "Life Should Go On" ft Wale and " All I Know" ft Wiz Khalifa)  , and  "Sellin Dreams" Ft Chris Brown . Hip Hop wise these 3 songs get a big WTF.
